Dr. Susan Biolsi
Medical Director
Dr. Biolsi grew up in the small, pastoral town of Long Valley, NJ. After earning her B.S. in Biochemistry at Boston College she was recruited to Indianapolis, IN to work as a biochemist at Eli Lilly. After two years, it was clear that a career in veterinary medicine was her calling. She left Eli Lilly to pursue a veterinary degree from Purdue University, where she graduated in the top four in her class. After six years in the Midwest, she wanted to be closer to her family. The Hudson Valley was an ideal location, and one she has enjoyed for the past six years. She joined our veterinary team in 2012. Dr. Biolsi is a strong believer in client communication and education. She also places emphasis in behavior modification education. She completed ultrasound training and has been performing abdominal ultrasounds for Middlehope since joining the team. Dr. Biolsi’s other interests also include internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Biolsi became the Medical Director at Middlehope Veterinary Hospital in 2018 and now works with our veterinarians and patient care team to provide the highest quality of care possible. When she is not at work, she enjoys relaxing at home with her wife, cooking, skiing, gardening, scuba diving and playing with her 3 dogs, Seneca, Maisy, and Diego, and 2 cats, Fiona and PoBoy.
